Do more to build up the downtown area around the square and the blocks right off the square. Encourage building of lofts and apartments over businesses downtown. Also lets spruce up and remodel old buildings close to the square, keeping their beautiful architecture. Offer incentives to businesses to move downtown.

Great idea Ann. A lot of those old bldgs have so much to offer, they just need a facelift.

I like the idea of renovating downtown like that. The Broadway tower is almost vacant. Those offices could easily be converted to apartments. Guthrie is a good example of a downtown initiative. They have the market cornered on the Victorian thing. We need more forward thinkers on the city council, the old guard will never go for something like this in my opinion.

How about the City of Enid looking to the temporary library facility being located in the old Homeland building temporarily? I know it is on the west side and some will have issues with that. However, The building is currently vacant, has plenty of parking, easy access, etc.
