About Enid 100
Similar to the Lance Cargill 100 Ideas initiative and the Okie Doke Okie 100, the citizens of Enid, Oklahoma have decided to do some proactive brainstorming and this is the place. This project is not related to the other two, we're just following their examples.
Advisory Board
An advisory board will be created and these ideas will eventually be taken to our city leaders.
Enid 100 is not funded by anyone.

I would love to see an Olive Garden here.
Also, maybe a Best Buy.
Do something with that old Wal Mart! It looks trashy, and the space could be used for something to help the community.
Ice Rink, Youth Center, Homeless Shelter...
The community needs to offer some sort of incentive to get qualified workers to move to this area to fill new positions. New business is great, but we need to grow as a community if we want qualified people to fill those positions. We need to draw business and draw workers. I don't know what the answer is, but something should be done. We need to insulate the community from the potential collapse that closing Vance would cause.
I was telling my wife the other day that maybe an indoor flea market might be cool for that old Walmart. Get it fixed up nice and keep all the vendors indoors and the business to a standard considering the amount of traffic that travels down Owen K.
How about encouraging Kellet ball fields to hold more state tourneys and spruce up the facilities and such. I think its a great park but really want to see it get better. I know those batting cages are poorly kept.
This town needs a vision.
